Set up your authenticator

Sign-in codes now come from an app on your phone instead of your email. It keeps working even with no signal. One-time setup, about a minute.

1. Install an authenticator app on your phone.
   Search your app store for Google Authenticator — or use Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, 1Password or Bitwarden if you already have one. Any of them will work.
2. Scan this QR code with the app.
   Open the app, tap + (Add / Scan a QR code), and point your camera here.
   Can't scan? Choose "Enter a setup key" in the app and type this:
3. Enter the 6-digit code the app now shows.
   This confirms the app is set up. From now on it is the code you enter every time you sign in — so keep the app installed.
